#**Daily Box Office (March 14th 2024)**
The market hits ¥42M/$5.9M which is down -8% versus yesterday and down -17% versus last week.
Tomorrow sees the release of Remember me which isn’t expected to be big and end the weekend 3rd.
The Movie Emperor is also re-releasing after its failed Spring Festival releases and will flop once again as will The Challenger which is a Russian movie.
Kung Fu Panda 4 will once have pre-screenings on Saturday and Sunday ahead of its March 22nd release. Its gonna be interesting to see how this does. The reception of the first round of pre-screenings has been pretty mixed.

Dune 2 finishes its first week just shy of $27M. Or a running total of ¥189.7M which is +11.9% versus Ant Man 3(¥169.5) and +5% compared to Dune(¥180.6M).
Thursday itself was up +20% compared to Dune P1’s first Thursday and +29% up from Ant Man 3
Weekend projections start around $8M(-59%) but could go upwards of $9M(-54%)

The Pig, the Snake and The Pigeon finishes its 2nd week by passing $60M.
Its already the 5th highest grossing Taiwanese movie ever counting co-productions and 2nd counting only exclusively Taiwan produced movies.
Its again the clear favorite going into the weekend as it looks set for another $10-11M weekend which would take it past ¥500M/$70M

#**Other stuff:**
The next holywood releases currently scheduled are Kung Fu Panda 4 on the 22nd and Godzilla vs Kong 2 on the 29th.
The Boy and the Heron has now been confirmed for an April 3rd release. It will kick off quite a rich month of Japanese animation with Digimon Adventure 02: The Beginning releasing on the 20th followed by another Miyazaki movie Howl’s Moving Castle on the 30th April alongside SPYxFAMILY CODE: White which will release on the same day.
