In “The Master and Margarita” (2024), August Diehl plays the role of a devil who has come to Moscow to see how communism is built there and to mess with the locals. This is a reference to August’s previous roles as Karl Marx (The Young Karl Marx, 2017) and Vladimir Lenin (The King’s Man, 2021).
