Today I read about the new 15 inch Macbook Air. This comes in at a time when the world, or atleast the world around me, was steadily heading towards 13-inch laptop screens because they were slimmer and lighter and being compact was(/is) in vogue. Apple keeps saying that it sets the trend for the world to follow. And the competitors rightfully do follow its direction. So do the consumers.
But why?
When Apple started making thinner slimmer smaller laptops, people thought yep that is what I want.
Now that Apple is yet again rehashing something from the past, I am more than sure bigger laptops are going to make a comeback.
Makes me think of the line which I had heard somewhere but cannot recollect the source now (if you do then let me know, I for sure am perhaps not brilliant enough to come up with this stunning line all by myself) – People do not know what they want. We decide what they want.
Is it true? Do we really not know what we want? Do we really go with the flow? And what makes Apple be the trendsetter?
