Growing up, I didn’t pay attention to how my mother made meatloaf, and I assumed it was just made of ground beef, like an extra-large hamburger. It was not until I watched Roseanne that I learned that the whole purpose of meatloaf was so that people could stretch out the meat by adding fillers such as breadcrumbs or cornflakes.
