Would ‘The Hunchback of Notre Dame’ have better prospects under the 20th Century or Searchlight banner?

Listening to the musical score and reading the latest version of it incorporating changes intended for the film, and the darker nature of a live action take of this story, I’m feeling Disney would have more success developing and releasing this film under a more mature banner with a smaller budget.

Or am I alone in feeling this?
